Ashley McClary is a commercial real estate salesperson specializing in retail, with a vision for strengthening the commercial landscape across Central New York, from Ithaca to Syracuse. She serves as the exclusive leasing agent for the Shops at Ithaca Mall, working to identify opportunities that connect retail spaces with the businesses and experiences communities need.
Ashley’s approach to retail real estate starts with a simple question: What could this space become, and what does the surrounding community need?
Raised in a working-class family, Ashley grew up around people who understood the value of hard work and customer service. Her family’s longstanding connection to retail, combined with her own experience in restaurants, hospitality, and other service-oriented businesses, gives her a practical perspective on how businesses operate and connect with their customers.
Ashley is interested in identifying gaps in local retail markets, helping independent businesses establish themselves, attracting national retailers, and recognizing opportunities to improve underutilized commercial properties. She believes these objectives can work together to create stronger commercial districts, expand local options, and keep more economic activity within the region.
Her work spans the diverse markets between Ithaca and Syracuse, where she sees opportunities to connect business owners, tenants, landlords, property owners, and investors with the right spaces and partnerships.
Ashley serves as Secretary of the Syracuse Chapter of the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors (NYSCAR). She brings integrity, attention to detail, curiosity, and a willingness to ask the right questions to every opportunity.
